Overview

This is a 3 year six semester program in administration studies leading to the award of the BBA degree. Here, the student is exposed to the functional areas of management such as Marketing, Finance, Human Resource and other Management subjects.

In the second year, the student is required to study a paper on Computer Application in Management. In the third year, the student is required to opt for 2 specializations – Marketing/Finance/Human Resource Management. A student can take up his/her project work in lieu of one compulsory subject of the sixth semester.

Languages, English and Kannada/Hindi/Additional English (for NRIs only) are to be studied in the first and second year only. The college encourages students to take up mini-projects, industrial and field visits.

• To possess wide spectrum of administration skills along with competency building qualities in specific areas of business administration studies.
• To develop professional skills, values, ethics, discipline, team spirit and high leadership qualities and to accept the challenges in the industry and academia.
• To excel contemporary knowledge of business and inducing them to engage in continuous learning
• To develop a capacity for analysis and judgement and inculcate in them values to draw out desire for authenticity and sincerity.

Programme Outcomes (POs)

• Apply the knowledge of commerce and computers to obtain constructive solutions to complex business & management problems
• After the completion of this course students have the option to go for higher studies i.e. M.Com, MBA, ,PD Diploma courses and other professional courses.
• After higher studies students can join as Employees and can even look for professional job oriented courses like CA, CMA etc.
• This course also offers opportunities for serving in Government Departments & Public Sector Undertakings by clearing Competitive Examinations like Banking, IAS, IPS, SSC etc.
• B.B.A graduates can go to serve in industries or may opt for establishing their own industrial unit.
• After the completion of the B.B.A degree there are various other options available for the management students. Often, in some reputed universities or colleges in India and abroad the students are recruited directly by big MNC’s after their completion of the course.
• Apart from the research jobs, students can also work or get jobs in Marketing, Business & Other technical fields. Management graduates also recruited in the bank sector. Students can also find employment in government sectors.
