Global Alumni Meet and the Silver Reunion

The Global Alumni Meet and the Silver Reunion of the batches of 1996, 1997 and 1998 took place on 30th December 2023 at the campus.
Mr Darwish Monni, President, Alumni Association welcomed the gathering. After the symbolic lamp lighting by the dignitaries Dr Gopal Mugeraya, Vice President (Technical Education); Mr Prasanna Kailaje, Director (Alumni Relations); Mr Yogeesh Hegde, Director (CM&D), NET Campus; Dr Sudhir M, Professor, JKSHIM; Dr Veena Kumari B K, Principal, Dr. NSAMFGC and Dr M S Moodithaya, Vice-Chancellor of Nitte DU, the program began with an introduction of ex-teachers by Dr Veena Kumari B K. She gave a brief of the college, refamiliarizing the alumni with its humble beginnings and how due to efforts of the preceding luminaries, Dr NSAM First Grade College commands the respect it has today.
Dr M S Moodithaya thanked the alumni present and sought their support to make Nitte a global brand with a local focus. Dr Gopal Mugeraya invited the alumni to share the stories of their success and encouraged them to continue being a part of the Nitte family.
Mr Prasanna R Kailaje appreciated the enthusiasm of the alumni and the efforts of the Alumni Coordinator, Ms. Archana Bhat and her team, for conducting the event. He said that the alumni played an important role, as their expertise & guidance can be extremely beneficial to their juniors. Mr Yogeesh Hegde said that alumni are assets to the institution; they are the ambassadors and pillars that help in the growth and development of the institution. He urged the alumni to visit the college and stay in touch.
Dr M S Moodithaya was felicitated on the occasion for his services to the college as Principal, and as a celebration of his current designation as the Vice-Chancellor of Nitte University. The formal event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr Sudhir M. Dr Sucharitra, Alumna, conducted of a few quick games for the audience. This was followed by dance and singing performances by alumni and students of the college. The alumni were presented with mementos and taken on a tour of the new campus.
